My late wife Dorothy was as pleased as punch to have inherited four children and nine grandchildren when we married.  The children had all moved far from their hometown and far from each other.  Both Dorothy and I wanted to be able to get them all together for a reunion at least once a year.  That’s why I bought time-share units; we would have room for the whole gang.  It was a tough job to get them all together, but with Dorothy’s help it worked pretty well.  They apparently enjoyed the reunions very much.  After Dorothy’s death the task fell to me until I turned the scheduling over to the children.

The problem is that by the time they all agree on a time, the year is almost over and the choice times and places have been booked.  I have tried to get them to agree on a time a year in advance so that I can get a place of their preference, rather than the leftovers.

I can’t believe that my problem is unique.  Perhaps someone can suggest a solution to my dilemma.
